Call in at Sepp’s

the gateway to the Sesto Dolomites

When it comes to the Bistro Bergsteiger, or in English, Mountain Climber, the name tells you everything you need to know. This new gastronomic addition in the Fiscalina Valley is exactly what it sounds like: a meeting place for fans of the mountains and active types, for nature lovers and those looking for peace and quiet. Down-to-earth and uncomplicated, just the way mountain people are. People with a hunger to satisfy come together here. As do people who are seeking inspiration from our great-grandfather, mountaineering legend Sepp Innerkofler. He can be found leaning in relaxed fashion up against the bar. With a direct view of the line-up of summits in the Sesto Dolomites and of a few of his heroic first ascents.

And what do we serve?
Sepp’s favourite dishes, of course - but that’s not all! Bistro meals inspired by South Tyrolean cuisine prepared from top quality honest, seasonal and local produce.
On an afternoon you could try a fortifying mountain-climber’s “marende” snack platter, a wheat beer after a successful skiing trip, or coffee and cakes with views of the summits. And always the very best made from the simplest ingredients.

Our Bistro Bergsteiger is a place where you can stop and linger for a while.
To eat and to celebrate. To marvel at the mountains and hammer out plans for more trips. For mountaineers and leisure hikers, mountain bikers and e-bikers, cross-country skiers and walkers. For family groups and singles, wedding parties and circles of friends. Everyone’s welcome at the Bergsteiger!

Architecture
We were able to implement this exciting project in collaboration with the successful Sesto architect, Ulla Hell (Plasmastudio).
From outside a flat building, unobtrusively nestling in the neighbourhood, a counterpart to the Badehaus Bergsteiger set against a background of green meadows and behind them the soaring peaks of the Dolomites. Inside the highest quality natural materials from the local area, such as larch and dolomite. Elements of the “Touristenhaus” (tourist house) built in 1910 and now a protected monument - a popular postcard image of the Fiscalina Valley - are echoed both inside and out. A successful, sensitive and respectful piece of architecture.

We look forward to your enquiry!
